Pharmacist in Mellen, WI

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 50-bed hospital in Northern Wisconsin, with an immediate start and a contract duration of 13 weeks or longer. This role offers a structured 7-on, 7-off rotation schedule with 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy, correct dosing, proper dosage forms, and evaluating for therapeutic duplication and drug interactions
• Providing pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing support
• Delivering pharmaceutical care through clinical services such as medication reconciliation and patient education during discharge
• Overseeing pharmaceutical compounding while adhering to USP regulatory and compliance guidelines (including USP 797 and USP 800)
• Utilizing EPIC for electronic health records and medication management

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Licensure as a Pharmacist with a valid license to practice in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, preferably within smaller facilities or critical access hospitals
• Familiarity with pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation dosing, and clinical pharmaceutical services
• Knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards related to sterile and hazardous drug compounding
• Competence with EPIC or similar pharmacy IT systems
