A clinical infusion pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-established home infusion pharmacy in the Memphis, TN area. This direct hire role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8 AM to 5 PM, with participation in an on-call rotation that typically involves fewer than five after-hours calls per week. The position starts ASAP and features a pay range between $130,000 and $140,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sterile Compounding: Prepare specialty pharmaceuticals and intravenous (IV) solutions in compliance with state and federal sterile compounding regulations.
  • Clinical Monitoring: Evaluate laboratory results, perform pharmacokinetic dosing calculations such as for vancomycin, and monitor Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) to optimize therapy.
  • Patient Education: Provide comprehensive counseling to patients and caregivers on infusion pump usage, sterile technique, and catheter maintenance.
  • Care Coordination: Work closely with physicians, home health nurses, intake, reimbursement, and pharmacy operations to ensure optimal patient care and prevent hospital readmissions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to regulatory standards including State Board of Pharmacy, HIPAA, FDA, DEA, Medicare, ACHC, URAC, and OSHA.
  • Inventory and Shipping: Manage inventory of refrigerated and non-refrigerated products and prepare medication shipments for safe delivery to patients' homes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years infusion specialty pharmacy experience
  • Experience with IV Immunoglobulin (IVIg) and hemophilia therapies highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of specialty therapy payer requirements, reimbursement, and contract obligations
  • Proficient in CareTend pharmacy system
  • Valid Tennessee pharmacist license in good standing
