Pharmacist in Mendon, IL

An inpatient pharmacist role is available for an experienced professional to cover the overnight shift at a hospital in the Mendon, IL area. This contract position requires commitment during a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, working from 7 PM to 7 AM. The hospital has a 327-bed capacity and utilizes AllScripts as their electronic medical record system, with Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients during the overnight shift, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.
• Prepare intravenous medications as needed, with hands-on involvement.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Utilize AllScripts EMR and Omnicell cabinet systems efficiently in daily operations.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience is required.
• Previous overnight shift experience is preferred.
• Competence in preparing IV medications.
• Familiarity with AllScripts EMR and Omnicell systems is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently overnight.

• Mendon, Illinois, near Quincy, with proximity to Springfield, IL, and St. Louis, MO.

Schedule:

• Overnight shift, 7 PM to 7 AM.
