This opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and direction for pharmacy operations across two Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospitals in the greater Phoenix area. The role is ideal for a motivated pharmacist with strong management skills who is ready to oversee multiple facilities and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Location:

  • Greater Phoenix area, AZ (Mesa-based)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pharmacy services at two LTAC hospitals to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to optimize pharmacy operations and patient safety
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to support effective medication management, formulary decisions, and therapeutic initiatives
  • Oversee pharmacy staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor budgetary and resource utilization to achieve operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure accreditation readiness

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license with relevant state licensure
  • Proven experience in pharmacy leadership, preferably as a Director of Pharmacy or similar role
  • Strong understanding of LTAC hospital pharmacy practice and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and foster a collaborative working environment
