Join a dynamic pharmacy team serving diverse communities in the greater Phoenix area with a well-known food and pharmacy retailer. This per diem role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced retail pharmacists seeking flexible work to support various locations across the region.

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; select pharmacies may operate until 8:00 p.m.
  • Role: Provide coverage for callouts, vacations, and volume fluctuations; 2-4 days per week ideal
  • Average prescription volume: 100–125 prescriptions per day
  • Comprehensive technician support available at all sites
  • QS1 pharmacy system used

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years pharmacy experience in a retail setting; preference given to those with 5+ years for higher compensation
  • Valid pharmacist license in Arizona with no restrictions
  • Immunization certification and current BLS card required
  • Familiarity with QS1 preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional patient counseling and immunizations
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare team members
  • Participate in an initial 8-hour training session (with additional training available as needed)

Additional Information:

  • Mileage reimbursement for commutes over 30 miles; travel expenses covered for distances beyond 75 miles, including hotel and meals
  • Meal stipend provided during shifts that require travel
  • Per diem assignment with no guaranteed hours but flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability
