Per Diem Pharmacist in Mesa, AZ

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to support a growing team of 2-3 pharmacists serving a network of retail pharmacies operated in a food and pharmacy setting near the greater Phoenix area.

Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Mon - Sat, typically 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m.
Shift Availability: Part-time, 2-4 days per week preferred; coverage needed for call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes. Hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy environment with daily volumes averaging 100-125 Rx.
• Provide immunizations and maintain required certifications including BLS.
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy system for operations.
• Participate in required training, with an initial 8-hour shift dedicated to onboarding.
• Collaborate with strong technician support to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Arizona with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience, with preference for candidates having 5+ years to maximize compensation potential.
• Immunization certification and BLS certification required.
• Experience with QS1 system is preferred.

Additional Details:

• Mileage reimbursement and travel accommodations available for those commuting long distances or traveling beyond typical commuting range.
• Meal stipend provided during shifts requiring travel.
