A retail pharmacist opportunity is available to support a growing team of 2-3 per diem pharmacists serving multiple pharmacy locations in the greater Phoenix area. These pharmacies operate within a food and pharmacy setting and provide essential medications and services to their communities.
Pharmacy operations generally run Monday through Saturday, typically from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some locations open until 8 p.m. As a per diem pharmacist, you will be part of a flexible team ready to cover call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time work approximately 2-4 days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent retail pharmacy services to customers
- Accurately dispensing medications and counseling patients
- Administering immunizations per protocol
- Collaborating with certified pharmacy technicians and staff
- Utilizing QS1 pharmacy software for daily operations
Qualifications and desired experience:
- 1-2 years minimum experience in a retail pharmacy setting; 5+ years retail experience preferred to maximize compensation
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing for Arizona
- Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required
- Familiarity with QS1 software strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Pharmacists will receive an initial 8-hour training shift, with additional training options available as needed. All pharmacy sites have strong technician support to assist with daily workflow.
This role offers reimbursement for mileage, meals, and lodging when travel over 75 miles is necessary, with mileage reimbursed for commutes beyond 30 miles.
