Per Diem Pharmacist - Mesa, Arizona

A per diem opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in a retail setting located in Mesa, AZ. This role supports pharmacy operations by filling and dispensing medications accurately while ensuring patient safety and delivering excellent customer service.

Schedule:

• 5 days of coverage plus initial training
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Verify patient allergies before dispensing medications to avoid adverse reactions
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in alignment with organizational policies
• Maintain high standards of customer service to promote positive patient experiences

Required Qualifications:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Arizona
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail pharmacy practice
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx system is preferred but not mandatory

Work Environment:

• Typically staffed with 1 Pharmacist and 3 technicians
• Script volume of fewer than 100 prescriptions daily, allowing for detailed attention to each case
