Pharmacist | Mesquite, New Mexico

A pharmacy contract opportunity is available for two experienced pharmacists to support pharmacy operations in Las Cruces, NM. This role requires a strong background in pharmacy practice and medication dispensing, with experience using Meditech IT systems preferred. The assignment offers a rewarding chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting over a 13-week period.

Shift Options:

• Position 1: 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts), with a 7 days on/7 days off rotation
• Position 2: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (12-hour shifts), with a 7 days on/7 days off rotation

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely following established protocols
• Verify prescriptions, monitor for drug interactions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
• Document pharmacy activities and maintain accurate records using Meditech software
• Provide patient counseling and education as needed

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)
• Prior experience as a pharmacist in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records or similar pharmacy IT systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
