A pharmacist opportunity is available for a contract assignment in Mesquite, NM, starting as soon as possible and lasting 13 weeks or longer. This role requires familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and offers a chance to apply clinical expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting their workflow
- Consulting with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care
- Applying principles of pharmacokinetics in medication management
- Utilizing the Medhost IT system for documentation and order processing
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist with the ability to obtain a temporary New Mexico license if not currently licensed
- Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and quality care
