Pharmacist in Metairie, LA

A Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract at a hospital in Metairie, LA. This role offers day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., working every other week (EOW), starting July 14.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care clinical pharmacy services primarily for the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2
• Deliver expert pharmaceutical care with a focus on trauma and critical care patient populations
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records daily to document and communicate care plans

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent clinical pharmacy experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Prior critical care or clinical pharmacist experience required
• PGY-2 residency strongly preferred but not mandatory
• Active Louisiana pharmacist license in-hand
• Board certification in critical care pharmacy highly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
