A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at a hospital in Metairie, LA, supporting the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units. This role is perfect for a pharmacist with a strong critical care background seeking to apply advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced trauma center environment.

Location: Metairie, LA
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated clinical pharmacy services within the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication management for critically ill patients.
• Monitor medication therapies and adjust dosing based on patient-specific factors and clinical guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices regarding critical care pharmacotherapy.
• Utilize EMR (Epic) for documentation, order verification, and communication with healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Louisiana pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 1 year recent critical care experience at a Level 1 trauma center is required.
• Experience or comfort with EMR systems, specifically Epic, is mandatory.
• PGY-2 residency in critical care is highly preferred but not required.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or Critical Care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists.
