Pharmacist | Metairie, Louisiana

A hospital in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a Level 1 trauma setting. This 13-week contract position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting critical patients in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2 units.

Location: Metairie, LA
Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, every other week

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services within the CV ICU and Medical ICU2 to optimize patient outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma and critical care teams to develop and implement appropriate medication plans
• Monitor and adjust medication therapies for critically ill patients, particularly in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and medication management
• Provide pharmacological support based on current best practices and hospital protocols

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent critical care or clinical pharmacy experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• LA pharmacist license in-hand is required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Board Certification is preferred, but not mandatory
• PGY-2 residency in critical care is highly desirable but not required
• Open to pharmacists who are first-time travelers
