Pharmacist | Metairie, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract starting July 14. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced, trauma level 1 hospital environment within the CV ICU and Medical ICU2 units. The position is day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, every other week.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services to critically ill patients in cardiovascular and medical intensive care units
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes
• Provide medication counseling and education to healthcare providers and patients
• Use EPIC electronic medical records to document interventions and patient data accurately
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Pharmacist licensed to practice in Louisiana (license in-hand required)
• Minimum of one year recent experience as a critical care or clinical pharmacist in a Level 1 trauma center
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Board certification preferred but not mandatory
• Post-graduate year 2 (PGY-2) residency highly preferred
• Willingness to work as a first-time traveler is accepted

Schedule:

• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week rotation
