A PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available at an Indian Health Clinic in Miami, FL, providing pharmacy services to support patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. This contract position reports directly to the Chief Health Officer and offers a professional work environment with a dress code of scrubs or business casual (excluding all black attire).

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and proper dosing
• Prepare and dispense medications adhering to regulatory and quality standards
• Verify correct filling of MedBoxes
• Counsel patients about medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans
• Perform medication reconciliation to ensure accurate and complete medication histories
• Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic conditions
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and operational workflows
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials to practice in Florida
• Experience in clinical pharmacy and medication therapy management
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Effective communication and patient counseling abilities
