An inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available at a hospital facility located in Berlin, NH. This contract role involves supporting diverse clinical areas—including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department—ensuring safe and effective medication management within the inpatient setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
- Rotating weekends every third weekend
- Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient medication dispensing with a strong focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Utilize electronic health records and pharmacy systems to ensure accurate medication order processing and documentation
- Independently oversee medication use, especially during weekend coverage periods
- Contribute to clinical decision-making with evidence-based pharmaceutical care
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Ability and willingness to work independently, particularly during weekend shifts
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records system preferred
- Familiarity with Omnicell automated dispensing technology is an advantage
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams
