LTC Pharmacist | Minneapolis, Minnesota

A pharmacist role is available in a long-term care (LTC) setting in Eden Prairie, MN, offering a Contract to Hire opportunity with day and afternoon shifts. This position requires a qualified pharmacist to oversee prescription accuracy, medication compounding, and staff direction within a LTC facility.

Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions from physicians and authorized prescribers to ensure correctness and determine necessary formulas and ingredients. The pharmacist will compound sterile and non-sterile medications following standard procedures, including weighing, measuring, and mixing components. Additionally, this role involves supervising pharmacy personnel who mix, package, and label medicines and dispensing medications with professional counseling provided to nursing facility staff regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience in long-term care pharmacy operations
• Strong knowledge of prescription accuracy review and compounding techniques
• Ability to lead and direct pharmacy team members involved in medication preparation
• Excellent communication skills to effectively counsel healthcare staff on medication use
• Familiarity with LTC facility protocols and regulatory compliance
