A long-term care pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support its operations with a focus on accurate and efficient prescription verification. This role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with pharmacy technicians to ensure the highest standards of medication safety and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions in partnership with pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Support workflow to maintain timely dispensing and processing of medications
- Communicate effectively with team members about prescription issues or clarifications
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dispensed medications
Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication verification processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Shift options: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
- Pharmacy operating hours: 7:00 PM–10:00 PM (support required during the daytime shifts)
- Contract length: 8 weeks, starting February 2, 2026
