Pharmacist in Mishawaka, IN

A 250-bed community hospital in Northern Indiana is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment, with the potential for extension. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work in an inpatient setting where your expertise will directly impact patient care and team efficiency.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Second shift hours: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Possible option for a 7-on, 7-off schedule

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, guiding their daily tasks and workflow
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Apply clinical knowledge through pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Valid Pharmacist license to practice in Indiana
• Strong clinical knowledge in inpatient pharmacy practices
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians is preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during second shift hours
• Excellent communication skills for effective multidisciplinary collaboration
