A 13-week contract position is available for a Pharmacist at a 250-bed community hospital located in Mishawaka, IN, with an option to extend. This role primarily involves providing comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- 2nd shift hours: 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
- Possible flexibility for a 7 on/7 off schedule
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
- Applying pharmacokinetic principles to support individualized patient care
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid pharmacist licensure
- Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy practice
- Strong clinical knowledge, particularly in pharmacokinetics
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
