Production Pharmacist - Stafford, TX

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks with Potential for Permanent Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Shift: 2nd Shift (ASAP Start!)

A growing pharmacy team in Stafford, TX is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking for a consistent Monday–Friday second shift schedule.

The pharmacy is open to candidates with retail pharmacy experience—no compounding experience is required. They are looking for a dependable pharmacist who can step in quickly, support daily operations, and provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the prescription fulfillment process while ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations
Perform accurate Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and maintain proper documentation
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety
Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy team members
Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving and maintaining medications according to regulatory standards
Prepare and package prescriptions for shipment, including handling specialized medications such as refrigerated and bulk items
Support daily pharmacy operations in a high-volume environment

Requirements:
Active and clear Texas Pharmacist License
1+ year of pharmacist experience
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume pharmacy setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working a consistent 2nd shift schedule (2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Monday–Friday)

Preferred Experience:
Retail pharmacy experience accepted
Experience with high-volume prescription processing preferred
Familiarity with LifeFile or PK Software is a plus

Pay Range: $60–$65/hour
