A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Mohave Valley, AZ, with an immediate start. This contract position offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule, working 10 to 12-hour shifts to ensure comprehensive pharmacy services within a hospital setting. The role involves vital responsibilities to support patient care and medication management.
Schedule:
- Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies
- Perform pharmacokinetic calculations and patient monitoring
- Utilize MedHost electronic medical records for documentation and order processing
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona pharmacist license
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
- Hospital pharmacy experience required, including IV certification and practical experience with intravenous medications
- Proficient with hospital EMR systems, preferably MedHost
