A travel pharmacist position is available in Mohave Valley, AZ, with an immediate start on a contract basis. This role requires a dedicated professional to work a 7 on/7 off schedule, providing excellent pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting.
Schedule:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Shifts range from 10 to 12 hours
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure proper workflow and compliance
- Consult with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical advice
- Manage pharmacokinetics to optimize patient medication plans
- Utilize MedHost as the electronic medical record system
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Arizona pharmacist license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Hospital pharmacy experience with proficiency in IV medication preparation and administration
- Experience with IV certification is required
- Familiarity with MedHost EMR is preferred
