Per Diem Retail Pharmacist in Montrose, IA

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide coverage at a managed pharmacy location in Montrose, IA, supported by an experienced pharmacy management group specializing in FQHC/340B pharmacy operations. This role offers the chance to contribute in a retail pharmacy setting with strong technician support and established workflows.

Schedule:

• Monday, 6/22 through Friday, 6/29
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full-week coverage at an outpatient pharmacy serving a 340B program
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Oversee pharmacy opening and closing duties consistent with organizational policies
• Dispense medications accurately and counsel patients according to retail pharmacy standards
• Utilize Datascan by WinPharm system for pharmacy management and dispensing activities

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Iowa pharmacist license required
• Previous experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians
• Prior exposure to 340B pharmacy program operations is highly preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to manage workflow in a supportive team environment
