A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacist role in Plattsburgh, NY, offering the chance to oversee and manage pharmacy operations within a well-established retail setting. This position calls for a dedicated professional to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations while delivering excellent patient care and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities: • Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge. • Maintain pharmacy compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory control. • Lead and develop pharmacy support personnel through training and performance management. • Participate in community and in-store business development activities. • Provide patient counseling on drug therapies, dosing, interactions, and side effects, and monitor patient progress for optimized outcomes. • Deliver patient-centered services, such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. • Uphold continuous quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety. • Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant pharmacy workspace. • Complete continuing education requirements per state law.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active New York State Pharmacist License. • Immunization Certification and comfortable administering all vaccines. • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage pharmacy staff and interact with patients and healthcare providers. • Ability to maintain regulatory compliance and promote pharmacy financial performance.
Schedule: • Variable shifts with evening hours required at times. • Typical schedules include 4x10 or 4x12 shifts (e.g., 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM).
