IV Compounding Pharmacist - Moulton, AL

An established veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support its expanding team in a close-knit, closed-door environment. This role focuses primarily on non-sterile compounding for animal patients, including equine prescriptions, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing pharmacy with a dedicated staff.

Location:

• Hartselle, AL (approximately 30 minutes from Huntsville, AL)
• Local candidates only

Employment Type:

• Contract, temp-to-hire
• Start ASAP, ideally with a seamless transition following 11/5

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support 3–4 pharmacy technicians daily
• Verify prescriptions and oversee workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Review and maintain established non-sterile formulations, ensuring consistency and compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Support inventory management and daily operations
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by taking ownership of responsibilities

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license (required)
• Strong experience in non-sterile compounding
• Ability to supervise technicians and manage pharmacy workflow effectively
• Detail-oriented with adaptability and a strong willingness to learn
• Excellent work ethic and team-first attitude
• Veterinary, animal, or equine compounding experience (highly preferred)
• Experience working in a high-volume compounding pharmacy setting (preferred)
• Pharmetica software experience (a plus, but training provided)
