This position is for a full-time night pharmacist opportunity at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. The role is ideal for professionals who have experience working in hospital pharmacy settings and are skilled at collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to ensure optimal medication therapy and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians on drug therapy and dosing decisions.
  • Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medications.
  • Implement and support medication safety initiatives.
  • Review and maintain patient medication profiles.
  • Monitor, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions.
  • Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements accurately.
  • Maintain strict narcotic accountability.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid pharmacist license with hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently on a night shift.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience preparing IV admixtures and handling narcotics.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 7 days on, 7 days off.
  • Workweek runs Wednesday through Tuesday nights.

Location:

  • Tucson, Arizona hospital setting.

This contract role lasts 13 weeks with the potential to extend to temp-to-hire status. Immediate availability to start is a must.
