Pharmacist - Murfreesboro, TN

A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to support its high-volume operation. This role offers a 13+ week contract with potential for contract-to-hire and focuses on afternoon shift coverage from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, working 40 hours per week. The pharmacy fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, providing specialized care in renal medication management.

Location:

• Lavergne, TN (near Murfreesboro)

Schedule:

• Afternoon Shift: 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions ensuring accuracy of medication, dosage, and instructions
• Verify bottle/box contents and cross-check prescription information against hard copy orders
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system to manage prescription data
• Support high-volume mail order pharmacy operations without on-call duties
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current, valid license to practice
• Experience with prescription verification and pharmaceutical dispensing
• Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations preferred
• Comfort with Wellsky or similar pharmacy order entry systems is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment
