Pharmacist - Murfreesboro, Tennessee

A pharmacist position is available on a contract basis with a leading mail order renal specialty pharmacy that fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with an ASAP start and potential contract-to-hire opportunity after 13 weeks.

Location: Murfreesboro, TN

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification processes for prescriptions to ensure accuracy
• Verify correct medication packaging and labeling against prescription orders
• Confirm that directions and prescription details match hard copy documentation
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system efficiently in a non-automated environment
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to support quality patient care

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist licensure in Tennessee
• Experience in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting preferred
• Familiarity with renal specialty medications a plus
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems; Wellsky experience beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
