Pharmacist - Murfreesboro, TN

A pharmacist role is available at a busy mail-order renal specialty pharmacy filling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract position based in Murfreesboro, TN, requires an individual with a strong background in high-volume pharmacy settings and a positive, adaptable attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties, ensuring accuracy in the final verification process.
• Verify correct medication and packaging, cross-check directions and prescription details against hard copies.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff to support efficient workflow and patient care.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
• Familiarity with mail-order or specialty pharmacy operations is a strong asset.
• Experience working with pharmacy order entry systems; knowledge of Wellsky is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication verification.
• Good interpersonal skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work without on-call responsibilities.
