Pharmacist | Nacogdoches, Texas

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 150-bed community hospital in Nacogdoches, TX. This role offers the chance to work a consistent weekday schedule, providing essential pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital setting.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and safety
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Managing intravenous (IV) admixture preparations
• Utilizing pharmacy IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell to maintain records and support workflow

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Pharmacist license
• A minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong skills and experience in IV admixture preparation
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy software is preferred
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
