Pharmacist | Nantucket, Massachusetts

This travel pharmacist opportunity offers a unique experience working in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting attached to a hospital in Nantucket, MA. You will support a pharmacy team by covering a vacancy, contributing your skills and knowledge to ensure smooth pharmacy operations during a critical period.

Location: Nantucket, MA
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks, with an ASAP start
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify medications accurately in an outpatient/retail pharmacy environment
• Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRX system efficiently for prescription management (experience preferred)
• Provide excellent patient care and counseling, ensuring safety and compliance with pharmacy laws
• Collaborate closely with hospital and pharmacy staff to meet operational requirements

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts pharmacist license required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Proficiency or exposure to McKesson EnterpriseRX highly preferred
• Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Additional Details:
Since Nantucket is accessible primarily by ferry, candidates should be comfortable with island living. Housing is provided by the hospital in an apartment, but due to limited availability, shared accommodations with other travelers might be necessary.
