Pharmacist - Naperville, IL

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Night Pharmacist to support pediatric care during overnight shifts. This opportunity offers a 7-on, 7-off schedule, providing dedicated focus time and extended periods off to recharge. The position begins as soon as possible and is scheduled for at least 13 weeks. This role involves direct patient care in a hospital setting, with an emphasis on pediatric pharmacy practice.

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Nights, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 7 days on followed by 7 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and verify medications during night shifts, with attention to pediatric dosing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use for pediatric patients
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication management and documentation
• Monitor medication therapies and adjust as necessary based on patient-specific parameters
• Provide expert guidance on weight-based pediatric dosing and other specialized pharmacotherapy needs

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois
• Proven experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
• Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with pediatric patients and weight-based dosing
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
