Pharmacist in Nashville, TN

A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis, with the potential for contract-to-hire. This role is focused on ensuring accurate and timely verification of prescriptions to maintain patient safety and service quality.

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start available

Location:
Position is based in Lavergne, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions.
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions to confirm correct medication and accurate directions.
• Verify prescriptions against hard copies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Work within the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for processing prescriptions.
• Support a high-volume pharmacy environment, filling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.
• No on-call duties required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with relevant state certification.
• Experience with mail order or specialty pharmacy preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmacy verification processes and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in an environment without automation.
• Ability to work the afternoon shift consistently.
