This opportunity is for a pharmacist to support a busy mail-order renal specialty pharmacy filling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The position involves providing vital Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties, including final verification processes to ensure accuracy and safety. This includes verifying medication, directions, and prescription information against hard copies.

Location: Nashville, TN area (Lavergne)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Details:

• Contract position, approximately 13 weeks with potential to convert to permanent
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start
• No on-call required
• Pharmacy order entry system: Wellsky (no automation)

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in mail-order or specialty pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication verification
• Familiarity with pharmacy verification processes PV1 and PV2
• Comfortable working with paper prescription documents
• Ability to follow protocols and maintain patient safety at all times
