Pharmacist - Nashville, TN

A Pharmacy Pharmacist position is available for a mail order renal specialty pharmacy serving a high-volume patient base with approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing through comprehensive verification processes.

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• ASAP start

Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions, including medication accuracy and packaging
• Verify directions and prescription information against hard copy prescriptions
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system to support workflow; no automation involved
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• No on-call duties required

Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with valid state licensure
• Experience in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting preferred
• Proficient with pharmacy systems, preferably Wellsky
• Attention to detail in medication verification and patient safety
• Strong communication and organizational skills
