A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to support pharmacy operations during an afternoon to evening shift. This is a contract role with the potential to transition to a permanent position. The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, focusing on renal specialty medications, and utilizes the Wellsky order entry system without automation.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• Located in Nashville, TN
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions ensuring correct medication selection
• Verify directions and prescription details against hard copy documentation
• Ensure accuracy and safety in medication dispensing without on-call requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing
• Experience in pharmacy verification processes
• Knowledge of renal specialty medications is advantageous
• Familiarity with Wellsky pharmacy order entry system preferred
