A pharmaceutical professional with 2-3 years of experience managing high-volume pharmacy operations is needed for a contract role within a busy mail order and renal specialty pharmacy. This position requires a positive, adaptable attitude and a commitment to accuracy and patient safety.

Location:

  • Nashville, TN

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
  • 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

  • 13-week contract, with potential to convert to permanent
  • Immediate start available

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
  • Conduct final medication verification processes to ensure accuracy
  • Verify that the correct medication is dispensed in bottles or boxes
  • Confirm directions and prescription information match the hard copy prescriptions
  • Use the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system for processing (no automation involved)
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume environment, averaging approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and patient safety protocols
  • No on-call duties are required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
  • Familiarity with mail order and renal specialty pharmacy operations is a plus
  • Proficiency in pharmacy verification and strong attention to detail
  • Experience using pharmacy order entry systems; familiarity with Wellsky is a bonus
  • Ability to work the specified evening shift consistently
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
