Pharmacist Opportunity – Contract Role in Nashville, TN

This role offers an engaging opportunity for experienced pharmacists to contribute to a high-volume mail order and renal specialty pharmacy. The pharmacy fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, serving a vital role in patient care without requiring on-call duties. Candidates must be ready to start as soon as possible and embrace a temporary assignment, with potential transition depending on business needs.

Schedule:

• Two openings for 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• One opening for 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions, including final verification of medications, ensuring accuracy of drug dispensing
• Verify correct medication in bottles or boxes
• Confirm directions and prescription information against hard copy prescriptions using the Wellsky order entry system
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and ensure patient safety with each verification

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Proficient with prescription verification and accuracy checks
• Comfortable working in a mail order and renal specialty pharmacy environment
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Willingness to accept a temporary role without guaranteed temp-to-hire transition
