Specialty Mail Order Pharmacist Verification Operations Contract

An exciting pharmacist opportunity is now available in the Nashville market with a high-volume specialty mail order pharmacy focused on renal care services. This role offers a stable weekday schedule, no on-call requirements, and the opportunity to work within a growing pharmacy operation handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.

Pharmacists in this position will focus heavily on verification responsibilities, ensuring prescription accuracy and patient safety throughout the fulfillment process. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists seeking a long-term contract with potential for permanent placement in a specialized pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Complete final verification processes for prescription orders
• Verify correct medications within bottles and packaging
• Review prescription directions and patient information against hard copy documentation
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume environment

Work Hours

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities required

Experience

• Previous pharmacist experience in retail, mail order, specialty, or fulfillment pharmacy preferred
• High-volume verification experience is a plus
• Familiarity with WellSky systems preferred but not required

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

Other Qualifications

• Active and valid Tennessee Pharmacist License
• Strong attention to detail and verification accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment
