Pharmacist in Necedah, WI

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to support a small, 40-bed hospital in northern central Wisconsin. The position requires managing a variety of pharmacy responsibilities with a focus on inpatient and outpatient care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Location: Necedah, WI
Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks+
Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM–5:00 PM), with rotating weekends
• Option for a 7 days on/7 days off day shift schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple concurrent tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy including verifying medication orders through EPIC, checking technician work, and responding to pharmacist consultation calls
• Dispense inpatient and outpatient IV medications, administer inpatient unit dose meds, and prepare outpatient chemotherapy treatments
• Support diverse inpatient and outpatient departments such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, ED, inpatient and outpatient surgery, and outpatient oncology
• Maintain accuracy and compliance while handling an inpatient census typically ranging from 30 to 40 patients

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Competence in chemotherapy preparation and handling of IV admixtures is a plus
