Pharmacist in Nelsonville, OH

A healthcare facility in Ohio is seeking a Temporary Staff Pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services in a 25-bed hospital setting. This contract opportunity involves working in a community hospital known for its dedicated care and includes coverage in emergency, infusion, and orthopedic specialties.

Location: Nelsonville, OH (covering shifts at nearby hospital in Logan, OH)

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• On-call duties after some shifts
• Occasional Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
• Utilize EPIC order entry system for medication orders (experience preferred)
• Support pharmacy operations in a 25-bed hospital with an average daily census of 25-30 patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in ED, infusion, and orthopedic specialty areas
• Provide on-call support as scheduled

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Ohio Pharmacist licensure required
• Experience with EPIC order entry system highly preferred
• Background working in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings preferred
• Ability to manage medications within specialty areas including emergency, infusion, and orthopedic care

This role is a contract position beginning by mid-September, ideally starting by the 8th but no later than the 14th. It requires a flexible approach to coverage, including weekdays, on-call hours, and some weekend shifts.
