This opportunity is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to support home infusion therapy services. This 13-week contract role is based in New Braunfels, TX, with a consistent 12 PM to 8 PM schedule. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in preparing and verifying sterile medications while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include evaluating patients for home infusion therapy eligibility, developing and monitoring medication plans based on clinical assessments and lab results, and educating patients and healthcare providers on infusion administration and medication use. The pharmacist will also manage infusion pumps, maintain quality assurance, and collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Additional duties involve providing drug information, documenting accurately, and supporting medication safety initiatives.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas
- Minimum one of the following:
- At least 1 year of sterile IV compounding experience
- Experience with non-sterile compounding, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency
- Completion of an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)
- Equivalent pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices
- Ability to interpret laboratory values and apply pharmacokinetic principles
- Excellent communication, patient counseling, and customer service skills

- 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
