This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a dynamic role with potential for permanent placement. The position is located in New Britain, CT, and operates in both retail and long-term care (LTC) settings. Candidates will work approximately 24 to 30 hours per week, primarily during day shifts, with a structured schedule including weekdays and weekend rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications and provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in retail and LTC environments.
  • Utilize designated computer systems (Liberty for retail, Frameworks for LTC) to manage prescriptions and patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy outcomes.
  • Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis every fourth week.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut pharmacist license (required).
  • Proven retail pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM shifts.
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Weekend rotation approximately every fourth week.
