Per Diem Pharmacist - New Iberia, LA

A pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist to provide per diem coverage on February 12th. This role requires expertise in handling HIV medications and 340B pharmacy operations, though retail pharmacy experience will also be considered. The position involves working a first shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with the use of PioneerRx software.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure their safe and efficient delivery to patients
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally according to organizational guidelines
• Maintain inventory, including stock control and controlled substance recordkeeping
• Operate under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager, adhering to all policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Louisiana
• Prior experience with HIV-specific medications and 340B pharmacy preferred, but retail pharmacy experience will also be considered
• Proficiency with PioneerRx pharmacy software is beneficial
• Strong communication and customer service skills
