A temporary pharmacist position is available to support medication management at a community hospital serving a smaller patient population. The role requires licensed Ohio Pharmacist credentials and offers a dynamic setting with diverse specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics.

Location:

  • Based near New Lexington, OH, at a hospital with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 25-30 patients

Schedule and Coverage:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • On-call responsibilities after some shifts
  • Occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Expected start date between September 8 and September 14

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and verify medications accurately for various departments including ED and specialty areas
  • Utilize the EPIC electronic order entry system (experience highly preferred)
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
  • Manage pharmacy operations in a smaller hospital setting without automation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license required
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly EPIC, is highly preferred
  • Ability to handle on-call duties and occasional weekend work
  • Adaptability to work in a multi-specialty hospital environment with direct patient care involvement
