Location: West Burlington, IA
Schedule: Primarily 2nd shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Duration: 13 weeks (contract)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Verifying medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Supervising and supporting pharmacy technicians
- Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
- Performing pharmacokinetics assessments to optimize patient care
- Utilizing electronic health systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist (temporary license accepted)
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication regulations
- Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems or similar pharmacy technology
