Pharmacist in New Pine Creek, OR

This role is for a Pharmacist providing day-of-pharmacy (DOP) coverage in a critical access hospital setting. Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, you will be responsible for managing and staffing the inpatient pharmacy operations over a 13-week contract with the potential for direct hire.

Located in a 25-bed critical access hospital with a daily census of approximately 10 beds, this position requires hands-on inpatient pharmacy experience. The pharmacy team includes two pharmacy technicians daily. You will utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation technology to ensure efficient medication dispensing and inventory control.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily pharmacy operations and staffing
• Performing inpatient pharmacist duties, including medication order verification and clinical support
• Sterile compounding as needed
• Checking and verifying IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use

Qualifications and experience sought:

• Valid Oregon pharmacy license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
• Experience managing pharmacy operations
• Proficiency with sterile compounding practices
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell is beneficial
