A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist ready to bring expertise in inpatient pharmacy management and sterile compounding to a critical access hospital setting. This role offers a contract-to-hire position with a 13-week initial contract, providing a solid pathway to direct hire.
Position Highlights:
- Location: New Pine Creek, OR
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call duties
- Setting: Critical Access Hospital with a 25-bed capacity and an average daily census of 10
- Team: Collaborate closely with 2 daily pharmacy technicians
- Systems: Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy and staff pharmacist, managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
- Perform inpatient pharmacy duties including sterile compounding as needed
- Oversee and verify intravenous preparations conducted by pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy best practices and hospital policies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Oregon pharmacy license is required
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong background in pharmacy management
- Competency with sterile compounding processes
