Per Diem Pharmacist - New Pine Creek, Oregon

A critical access hospital in a rural setting is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide per diem coverage for a 13-week assignment. This role supports a 25-bed facility with a daily census averaging 10 patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

The pharmacist will serve as a key staff member, working alongside two pharmacy technicians each day to ensure accurate and timely medication distribution. The facility utilizes Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems, demanding proficiency with these technologies. This position involves providing inpatient pharmacy services and sterile compounding in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications and verify orders accurately in a hospital setting
• Perform sterile compounding adhering to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records for order entry and documentation
• Support pharmacy technicians daily to maintain inventory and workflow

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Oregon pharmacy license required
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience within a hospital or critical access setting
• Skilled in sterile compounding procedures and compliance
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
