Pharmacist in New Pine Creek, OR

A critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity and a daily census averaging 10 beds is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to fulfill inpatient duties while managing and staffing the pharmacy. This role offers an opportunity for contract-to-hire placement, providing stability and growth potential within a close-knit healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and staff pharmacist, overseeing daily inpatient operations.
• Manage pharmacy staff, including supervision of two pharmacy technicians.
• Perform sterile compounding as required.
• Verify and check IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians.
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and operate Omnicell automation systems.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call duties

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Oregon pharmacy license.
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Demonstrated pharmacy management skills.
• Proficiency in sterile compounding.
• Familiarity with Cerner order entry and Omnicell automation is advantageous.
