A pharmacist role is available in New Pine Creek, OR, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is based in a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds and an average daily census of 10 patients. The role involves working as the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) during daytime hours.
Schedule and Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No on-call responsibilities
- Duration: 13 weeks with potential for direct hire
Responsibilities:
- Serve as working DOP and staff pharmacist with inpatient duties
- Manage and staff the pharmacy operations effectively
- Perform sterile compounding when required
- Review and verify IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
- Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation within the pharmacy
- Work alongside two pharmacy technicians on a daily basis
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience in pharmacy management
- Competency in sterile compounding procedures
- Current Oregon pharmacy license
