Pharmacist in New Pine Creek, OR

A pharmacist role is available in New Pine Creek, OR, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is based in a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds and an average daily census of 10 patients. The role involves working as the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) during daytime hours.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential for direct hire

Responsibilities:

• Serve as working DOP and staff pharmacist with inpatient duties
• Manage and staff the pharmacy operations effectively
• Perform sterile compounding when required
• Review and verify IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation within the pharmacy
• Work alongside two pharmacy technicians on a daily basis

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience in pharmacy management
• Competency in sterile compounding procedures
• Current Oregon pharmacy license
