Inpatient Pharmacist | Newark, New Jersey

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced inpatient/IV pharmacy technicians for a 13-week contract in the Morristown, NJ area, conveniently located just west of Newark. This role is ideal for highly skilled pharmacy professionals ready to contribute to inpatient pharmacy operations during an overnight shift schedule.

Location: Morristown, NJ (near Newark, NJ)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Overnight, 7 days on / 7 days off (exact rotation and start time to be finalized)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense sterile intravenous (IV) medications and inpatient pharmacy orders
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols for inpatient medication management
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for medication documentation and verification
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality standards in all pharmacy activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient pharmacy settings with strong IV preparation skills
• Active New Jersey pharmacy technician license (NJ license in-hand required)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is highly preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts consistently on a 7-on/7-off rotation
