Travel Pharmacist - Newport, Kentucky

A dynamic opportunity exists for licensed pharmacists to support a fast-growing digital/mail order pharmacy service operating out of Newport, KY. This travel position is designed for professionals experienced in high-volume retail pharmacy environments, ready to manage increased workload due to a new client partnership.

Location: Newport, KY
Type: Travel assignment (3-6 months)
Schedule Options:

• Three 12-hour shifts: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Five 8-hour shifts: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  Monday through Friday operations run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, requiring flexibility for start and end times.

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment of mainly generic, some brand, and specialty medications.
• Verifying and checking prescriptions accurately.
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and team coordination.
• Adapting quickly to evolving workflows during a period of increased order volume.

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky pharmacist license is required. Pharmacists licensed in Cincinnati, OH should confirm KY licensing status.
• Prior experience in high-volume retail pharmacy preferred.
• Must demonstrate excellent teamwork and adaptability under pressure.

This role supports a mail order pharmacy serving all 50 states and D.C., dispensing non-insurance medications. The position starts immediately and is critical for maintaining service excellence during an exciting growth phase.
