Travel Pharmacist | Newport, Kentucky

This opportunity seeks two licensed pharmacists to support an expanding digital/mail order pharmacy operation. The role is based in Newport, KY, and involves dispensing non-insurance medications, primarily generic, along with some brand and specialty products. The pharmacy serves all 50 states plus DC, emphasizing a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Shift options include either three 12-hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or five 8-hour shifts from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, with operational hours typically between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flexibility to cover opening or closing shifts is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment
• Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Adapt quickly to workflow changes and volume surges
• Collaborate closely with team members to maintain high service standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current KY pharmacist license is required
• Experience in high-volume retail pharmacy preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a digital/mail order setting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
