Retail Pharmacist | Newport, Pennsylvania

A full-time pharmacist opportunity is available in a retail pharmacy setting located in Newport, PA. This direct hire role supports a dynamic pharmacy department committed to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts, averaging 74 bi-weekly hours, with an immediate start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the store operations team to engage associates and communicate pharmacy and company strategies.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions by performing thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance per state and federal regulations.
• Manage pharmacy operations to drive profitability and prescription growth through clinical programs, including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) when offered.
• Monitor inventory to meet customer demand and optimize stock levels, coordinating with the pharmacy district manager.
• Align department objectives with core key performance metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing healthcare-related inquiries and counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff; oversee training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain pharmacy security protocols.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to build trust and loyalty.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and use reference materials for prescription clarification and issue resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy department.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
• Experience in retail pharmacy operations is preferred.
