Per Diem Pharmacist - Newton, Kansas

Per Diem Pharmacists are needed to join a retail pharmacy team in the Newton, KS area. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with shifts available on a semi-regular basis, providing a manageable workload and strong support to ensure a smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications to patients in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and proper storage
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
• Manage prescription orders efficiently using Rx30 software
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and workflow to maintain a high level of service

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Pharmacist license in good standing
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with Rx30 or similar pharmacy software systems
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Location:

• Newton, Kansas, with preference for candidates within a 75-mile radius. Travel compensation is available for those farther away, including daily meal allowances, mileage reimbursement, and hotel accommodations.

Schedule:

• Shifts are typically 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on select dates, including upcoming opportunities in March, April, and May. Hours may vary based on pharmacy needs.
