A pharmacy professional is needed to support the acute care pharmacy in a hospital setting with a specialized focus on medication verification and coordination. This evening shift role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure seamless workflow and accuracy in medication preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medications, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, code carts, and prepackaged items using EPIC dispense prep.
• Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure crash carts and code carts are restocked and properly maintained.
• Oversee the daily activities of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and task redirection as needed without formal supervisory duties.
• Collaborate with other pharmacists who focus primarily on order review within the electronic health record (EHR).

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Missouri Pharmacist Licensure is required.
• At least one year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule:

• Evenings from 2:30 pm to 12:30 am.
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation (Thursday through Wednesday; schedule may vary).
• Weekly guaranteed 36 hours.

This assignment spans 13 weeks with a strong possibility for extension. Training tailored to product verification will last 2-3 weeks depending on pharmacist capability.
