Pharmacist in Nixa, MO

A 13-week evening shift opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support the central pharmacy operations in a hospital setting located in Nixa, MO. The schedule follows a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation with shifts from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Thursday through Wednesday. There is a strong possibility of assignment extension and potential for conversion to permanent employment if the fit is right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Verify medication products including IV admixtures, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens
• Check and restock code carts regularly
• Oversee and guide the workflow of pharmacy technicians, providing direction to prioritize tasks when necessary
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for medication verification and documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license is required; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively direct pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is preferred but not mandatory
